Northeast Asia Economic Forum Emerging Leaders Fellowship Program

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

ELP Fellowships are awarded to early career individuals and doctoral students from the People's Republic of China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, the Russian Federation, Chinese Taipei, Pacific Island nations, United States, and Canada, who are able to demonstrate potential leadership capabilities and expertise in NEAEF topics and NEAEF geographic regions. Applicants must be affiliated with a business; academic or research institution; or a non-governmental, governmental, or international organization at the time of application, including recent post-doctoral researchers or post-graduate students. Citizens of Northeast Asian countries studying or working in the United States may also apply, as may United States citizens studying or working abroad.

Oral and written proficiency in English is required, as it is the working language of the ELP. Participants from the United States, Canada, and Pacific Island nations must have at least a basic proficiency level in one of the Northeast Asian languages.

Exceptional consideration may be given to applications from alumni participants in order to facilitate program sustainability and continuity.
